This morning I paused for a moment
and breathed in the freedom of crisp fresh air.
As the sun slowly rose to greet me
my soul was reborn and I whispered a prayer
to whom or what I could not be sure
but I wasn’t alone, I’d discovered, I’d swear.
The mockingbirds sang their joyous song
the creek lapped along in a calm rhythmic flair.
This morning I paused for a moment
now I suppose I will never forget I was there.
just read them all…they are very good!

I really enjoyed this one. Made me wish I was there!! City life is for the birds! Not the nice happy singing ones either…but rather the kind that go out of their way to poop on your freshly washed car!!
